In
the Autumn of 2008 Susanne and Karen met in beautiful Toscana and started talking. They’ve never
stopped since ;-) – talking, Skyping, phoning, mailing and texting.
Karen and Susanne quickly discovered that they shared a passion for “dead serious”
hunting on flea markets, beautiful houses, breathtaking surroundings,
interior decorating, furniture and home textiles – in other words: They
are passionate about CREATING ATMOSPHERE.
Susanne is surrounded with beautiful furniture in her daily work, as she is
the owner of an internet shop with old and new furniture in Denmark (see
Susanne's Danish web site here www.slitage.dk).
Susanne lives in Denmark with her husband. They also own a holiday home in
the friendly and beautiful area of Toscana, where they are able to spend a
lot of their time.
Karen works as a photographer, interior designer and freelance journalist.
She lives in Toscana with her husband, but makes frequent visits to
England, where they have a small base.
Susanne has had her shop for 5 years,
and together with Karen, she created a new internet shop, starting in August
2009.
Through this site, Karen and Susanne wish to inspire you to find your
individual style, by giving you quality alternatives to the ordinary
furniture shops.
They are of course inspired by the
lightness of the Scandinavian interior style – but mixed with ethnic
elements, and elements from the Mediterranean lifestyle, they both love
and worship. A mix with great
expression and with the possibility to pick out elements to use to create
YOUR INDIVIDUAL STYLE.
Now they have started – looking
forward to sharing enthusiasm and inspiration with you, your home, your
